10-10-2006 : A special task force has been created to review the existing MLS areas within our jurisdiction and to make recommendations to the Board of Directors on reducing the number of areas. Dave Lynch will be chairing this special task force. If you are interested in participating in this task force to review this subject, please email Nancy Donahue Jones at nancy@srcar.org. All appointments to task forces/committees must be approved by the Chairman and the Board of Directors. Task Force will be meeting soon. Thank you.

SRCAR Is Looking For Volunteers. Are You Ready to Serve?
10-10-2006 : Tom Plant, 2007 Chairman of the Board and the Southwest Riverside County Association of REALTORS® will have numerous openings for volunteers to serve in assisting the Association move forward with its goals and objectives. If you would like to be considered for an appointment for 2007, please complete the 2007 Volunteer Sign Form (available on line at www.srcar.org) or inserted into the October & November editions of the SRCAR REALTORS® Report, and return it to the Association office by December 31, 2006. You must be a REALTOR® or an Affiliate member in good standing with SRCAR to be considered. Some of the committee/task forces are:
*service on these committees have required annual training that must be completed prior to members being appointed. Auto Pay to Discontinue January 1, 2007
10-10-2006 : If you currently have a credit card authorization on file with the Association of REALTORS® to pay your quarterly MLS Dues and Lockbox Fees, please be advised that as of January 1, 2007, this service will no longer be available. Dues can be made via the Association’s website at www.srcar.org – it is safe and secure and a receipt will be issued to you immediately. You can pay using your Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Credit Cards. Debit cards will also be accepted provided they have the Visa or MasterCard logo on them. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact a member of your Association Staff at 951-894-2571. Thank you.
Tuesday MLS Marketing Meeting has Moved
Any listings Members wish to be included on the caravan for the Tuesday Marketing Meeting preview must have the listing in the “Agent Open House” section of the MLS by 7:30 a.m. the Tuesday of the caravan. Any listings received after the stated time may not be included in the printed caravan sheet that is distributed at the Tuesday meeting. Copies of the printed caravan sheet will be made available either at the Tuesday Marketing Meeting or at the Association office.
Members who have properties on the weekly tour and who are attending the Marketing Meeting are asked to sit in the first few rows at the Theatre so that promoting your listings during the meeting will be easier to pass the microphone.
Members are urged to place photos of their properties on their listings so that they maybe highlighted at the tour meeting when the properties are scheduled for tour. Any questions about placing properties on tour can be directed to the SRCAR Staff at the Association office at 951-84-2571.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Southwest Riverside County Association of REALTORS®, members will be receiving a survey on the Tuesday MLS Marketing Meetings during the week of September 18th. The survey asked just some general questions regarding the meeting and should take no more than 1-2 minutes to complete. The purpose of the survey is to gather some general information. Thank you.
A Reminder Please
10-10-2006 : The Staff at the Association office received numerous calls each day regarding legal questions, the use of specific forms in a real estate transaction as well as how to complete the forms. As a reminder, the Staff at SRCAR are not licensed in real estate nor are they attorneys and can not provide this type of information. Please seek the guidance of your Broker or Office Manager and when necessary, please use the CAR Legal Hotline at 213-739-8282.
In addition, we ask that you please not yell or curse at the Association staff. You do not like it when you are yelled at or cursed at by others; we ask that you please extend the same courtesy to the Association staff. The staff at the Association is here to work with you and for you and to provide you service within the established guidelines of the organization. While you may not like a particular policy, the staff did not draft the policy. Changes can be made to existing policies by simply putting your comments, questions and concerns to the attention of the Leadership. Upon receipt these questions, comments and concerns will be addressed by the Board of Directors at their next scheduled meeting for possible action. Thank you.
Chaplin Services Available
MLS at SRCAR New Fax/E Number Established
This new fax/e number was established to assist members when submitting new listings and changes to existing listings directly to the MLS Department rather than through the central fax at the Association office. New Email Address for the Supra/Lockbox Department at SRCAR
10-10-2006 : A new email address has been established at the Association office for questions, comments and concerns regarding the Supra Keys and Lockbox Department. The Email address is suprakeys@srcar.org. Michelle Medley from the Association office is currently the staff administrator in the area. Michelle can be reached at 951-894-2571.
